The last workshop of 2024 will be about making shimenawa.

Using auspicious plants such as fresh pine and nandina, we will create beautiful shimenawa using the movement and shape of the plants.

Shimenawa is a decoration that indicates a sacred place and serves the purpose of keeping away evil and impurity.
The day of the workshop, the 28th (Sat), is the perfect day to start decorating the shimenawa, as the number "eight" has the meaning of auspiciousness.

Let's make some original New Year's decorations to close this year and welcome the important year to come!

This is not a class where you will learn formal techniques, but rather a workshop where you can share your sensibilities for balance and color matching, and experience the joy inherent in plants. Light snacks and beverages are included.

The event will be held irregularly once or twice a month in the future. The types of flowers and plants will change each time.

We will give out a points card to first-time participants. If you collect 10 points, you will receive a free workshop as a wonderful gift. *You can still use the point card from the previous bedroom class. If you have lost it, please let us know on the day and we will reissue it.
